Chemists Raise Alarm Over AI-Generated Fake Prescriptions

The Nagaon District Medicine Dealers Association, along with the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists, has expressed concern over the use of AI-generated fake prescriptions and the illegal sale of restricted medicines.

The associations warned that such practices pose a serious threat to public health and sought the Prime Minister’s intervention. They demanded a high-level probe and urged both Central and State governments to take urgent steps to curb the issue before it becomes a major problem.
