Clash in Assam’s Karbi Anglong Leaves Over 40 Injured
More than 40 people, including nine police officers, were injured in clashes between police and protesters in Assam’s Karbi Anglong. The violence erupted during a protest organized by various groups demanding the eviction of alleged illegal settlers from local grazing reserves. The situation escalated when protesters deviated from the approved route, leading to stone-pelting and police air firing. Four individuals have been arrested, and prohibitory orders have been invoked to restore peace.
