CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Announces Major Reforms for Tea Tribe Community

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday announced landmark measures for Assam’s Tea Tribe community, including 4 reserved seats per medical college, 3% reservation in government jobs and state services, and upcoming land ownership rights. Speaking at ATTSA’s 19th Biennial Conference, Sarma also highlighted initiatives for clean drinking water, education, and self-reliance, saying Assam’s progress depends on the upliftment of the Tea Tribe community.
