CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Unveils Major School Infrastructure Plans at Golden Jubilee Event

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the Golden Jubilee of Chandraprava Bora High School in Azara, Guwahati. He announced a ₹32,000 crore plan to build new infrastructure for 4,000 schools, starting with 500 schools. Sarma stressed improving Assamese-medium education, merging small schools, introducing English instruction in key subjects, and promoting concept-based exams. He also encouraged community-backed tutoring initiatives and highlighted new skill development programmes in schools.
