CM Inaugurates 70 MW Solar Power Project in Dhubri

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday inaugurated a 70-MW solar power project at Khudimari Part-II in Dhubri district, built at a cost of Rs 350 crore. Developed by SJVN Green Energy Limited in collaboration with APDCL, the project is expected to generate about 141 million units of power annually and has raised Assam’s total solar capacity to 680 MW. The Chief Minister said another 50-MW solar project in Sonitpur will be inaugurated soon, taking the state’s capacity to around 730 MW, with a long-term target of 2,000 MW.
