CM Launches Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan in Tinsukia

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan in Tinsukia, distributing cheques to 14,000 women. The scheme provides Rs 10,000 as initial support to SHG members, aimed at long-term empowerment and entrepreneurship. Sarma assured continued institutional help and coverage of all Tinsukia constituencies by year-end. He highlighted the role of 40 lakh women in SHGs and criticized Opposition remarks against the initiative.
