CM Sarma Confident in BJP-UPPL Alliance Ahead of Sidli By-Polls

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence in the BJP-UPPL alliance for the upcoming Sidli by-polls, highlighting their historic win in Kokrajhar during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Sarma confirmed that UPPL will contest Sidli, while BJP will focus on Bihali, Dholai, and Samuguri. He emphasized the alliance’s shared agenda for Assam’s indigenous people and downplayed any differences with UPPL.

A joint coordination committee of BJP, AGP, and UPPL was recently formed to strategize for the Sidli by-election.
