CM Sarma Criticises Akhil Gogoi’s Flood Relief Agitation

Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticised MLA Akhil Gogoi’s agitation demanding the release of compensation for flood-affected families in Upper Assam. Sarma alleged that Gogoi was seeking political credit for the proposed relief package and said the government would delay the fund release.

Sarma also responded to criticism over school conditions raised during visits by opposition leaders. He said school management committees are responsible for maintaining facilities such as toilets, while the government has invested heavily in building and upgrading schools across Assam.
