CM Sarma Launches Financial Aid for SHG Women in Patharkandi

Patharkandi witnessed a massive turnout as Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed the first instalment of ₹10,000 each to nearly 16,000 Self-Help Group women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Asoni (MMUA). The aid will increase to ₹25,000 in the second year and ₹50,000 in the third, with government support on bank interest. Sarma urged women to invest in businesses to boost household income and local enterprise, stressing the funds are investments, not handouts. Local ministers and officials also attended the event.
