CM Sarma Reviews Welfare Schemes in Tamulpur, Highlights Progress and Empowerment
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed key welfare schemes in Tamulpur district, praising its rapid progress. He highlighted benefits under Orunodoi 3.0, Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, and CMAAA, empowering thousands of women and youth. Over 20,000 women already benefit from Orunodoi, with plans to reach 60,000. Around 391 youths received ₹1 lakh each under CMAAA. Tea garden workers and 8,000 residents will also get direct support and ration cards. Sarma emphasized peace and development in BTR, stating BJP and UPPL will collaborate beyond politics for regional growth.
