Congress Candidate Gaurav Gogoi Launches Election Campaign, Criticizes BJP’s Performance

Gaurav Gogoi, the newly declared Congress candidate for the Jorhat parliamentary seat, kicked off his election campaign in Nazira, accompanied by Debobrat Saikia, the sitting MLA and Leader of the Opposition party. During his campaign, Gogoi vocally criticized the BJP-led central and state governments, accusing them of focusing solely on attention-seeking activities and neglecting critical issues such as infrastructure, wages for tea plantation workers, education quality, and inflation control. He emphasized the need for change and expressed confidence in the people’s support. Starting his rally from Maduri after visiting Shri Madhav Temple in Mesagarh, Gogoi highlighted BJP’s failures, including unemployment, inadequate wages for tea workers, and land erosion in Majuli. The Congress candidate received a warm welcome from supporters in Nazira.
