Couple Arrested with Suspected Heroin in Guwahati

Police from the Birubari Outpost under Paltanbazar Police Station arrested a couple in the Pukhuripar area of Guwahati after recovering suspected heroin.

The accused, Abbash Ali (28) and his wife Hasina Begum from Hafiz Nagar, were found with 12 vials of heroin weighing about 14 grams. Police also seized a Redmi mobile phone, a digital watch, ₹2,680 in cash and an Honda Activa.

Officials suspect the couple’s involvement in small-scale drug distribution, and further investigation is underway.
