CPI Urges Centre to Declare Assam Floods a National Problem

Ahead of Parliament’s monsoon session, CPI general secretary D Raja demanded the Centre declare Assam’s flood issue a national problem. He criticized the government’s inaction despite massive displacement. CPI’s draft political resolution also warned of growing threats from Bangladesh’s rhetoric and called for urgent steps to secure the Northeast, resolve border disputes, and promote unity and development.
