CRS Approves Operations on New Nalbari-Baihata Double Rail Line

The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) has completed the inspection of the newly laid double rail line between Nalbari and Baihata stations on October 29, 2024. The inspection covered telecommunication, signalling, civil works, and safety measures across stations like Nalbari, Ghograpar, Rangiya, Kendukona, and Baihata. Following the inspection, the CRS approved train operations on the line.

This section, part of the New Bongaigaon-Agthori doubling project, will enhance freight and passenger movement, reduce travel time, and boost connectivity in the region.
