Cultural Procession Marks Day Two of ATEA Central Conference in Margherita

The second day of the 63rd triennial Central Conference of the Assam Tea Employees’ Association in Margherita was marked by cultural celebrations highlighting the unity of the tea garden community. The day began with flag hoisting and tributes, followed by a tree plantation drive. A colourful cultural procession showcasing Assam’s diverse traditions was the main attraction. The day concluded with an open meeting inaugurated by Labour Minister Rupesh Gowala, who praised ATEA’s role in championing tea workers’ rights.
