Darrang Police Nab Duo Running Job Scam under Microfinance Guise

Darrang Police have apprehended two individuals from the Fakirpara area under Dhula Police Station for allegedly swindling money from youths across Assam under false pretenses of job placements and Customer Service Point (CSP) licenses. The accused, identified as Rafik Ali and Golam Hadi, claimed to be the CEO and Director of RAAB Micro Finance Pvt Ltd, duping over a hundred job seekers by promising employment opportunities and CSP licenses for banking services in exchange for sums ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000. Operating under the guise of a microfinance company, their fraudulent activities spanned a year, with a purported head office in Dhubri and a corporate office in Fakirpara near Dhula, Darrang. A case was filed at Dhula PS based on victims’ complaints, leading to the arrest of the suspects who had lured victims to Fakirpara.
