De-Addiction Centre Inaugurated in Chirang to Combat Rising Youth Drug Abuse

A new de-addiction center was inaugurated at Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary Civil Hospital in Kajalgoan, Chirang district, on Friday. The facility, opened under the directives of NALSA, will address addictions such as tobacco, drugs, and alcohol, offering treatment, counseling, and aftercare services. The inauguration event was chaired by Akash Deep, Principal Secretary, BTC, with key officials including Chirang District Commissioner P. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy and District & Session Judge Chandranshu Chaturvedy in attendance. The center aims to educate the community on the harmful effects of drug abuse.
