Death Toll in Oil India Tengakhat Fire Rises to Three

Dibrugarh: The death toll in the fire following an explosion at Oil India Limited’s (OIL) Intermediate Tank Farm in Tengakhat has risen to three. Rupam Gogoi, a resident of Chabua, succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Guwahati around 11 am on Saturday, November 7. Earlier, Raju Dutta and Tapas Gogoi had died following the incident.

The incident occurred on November 6 during maintenance work at the facility, leaving several workers critically injured. Emergency teams brought the fire under control, while OIL has constituted an internal inquiry committee to investigate the cause of the incident.
