Debabrata Saikia Accuses CM of Politicising Zubeen Garg’s Death

Opposition Leader Debabrata Saikia criticised Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for allegedly politicising singer Zubeen Garg’s death and diverting attention from justice. Speaking in Jorhat, Saikia urged the government to let CID or SIT share updates transparently. He accused the CM of avoiding media questions and making political statements instead of focusing on the investigation. Saikia also condemned tree cutting at Dighalipukhuri after Zubeen’s cremation, calling it insensitive. He emphasised that the demand for justice is driven by public sentiment, not politics.
