Debabrata Saikia Condemns Bangladesh Lynching, Urges Diplomatic Action

Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Assembly Debabrata Saikia strongly condemned the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh, calling it a barbaric act and a serious human rights violation.

He urged the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to engage Dhaka at the highest level to ensure a swift probe, justice for the victim, and safeguards for minorities. Saikia also called for raising the issue at international forums, including the United Nations.

Appealing to Narendra Modi, he asked the Prime Minister to treat the matter as an urgent humanitarian concern and publicly reaffirm India’s commitment to minority rights.
