Dhubri Police Seize Suspected Narcotics, Fake Currency in Raid

Dhubri: Police raided an unauthorised pharmacy at Kalapkani Part-II early Tuesday and seized suspected narcotic tablets, banned cough syrup, fake Indian currency and an air gun.
The pharmacy operator, identified as Eliyas Sarkar, was taken into custody for questioning. Police recovered 1,709 suspected narcotic tablets, 15 bottles of cough syrup and counterfeit notes with a face value of Rs 5,600.
An air gun and mobile phone were also seized. A case has been registered under relevant laws, and further investigation is underway to determine the source of the suspected narcotics and possible involvement of others.
