Dibrugarh Students Hold Hunger Strike Over Brahmaputra Erosion

Members of the All Dibrugarh Students’ Union staged a 12-hour hunger strike at Phoolbagan, demanding urgent and permanent anti-erosion measures along the Brahmaputra stretch from Maijan to Bogibeel. The students accused the Water Resources department of negligence and slow work, warning that Dibrugarh faces a serious erosion threat. ADSU leaders called for immediate government intervention and scientifically planned solutions to protect the city.
