Dibrugarh University to Digitize Rare Assamese Manuscripts

Dibrugarh University has launched an ambitious project to digitize over 1,000 rare Xasi paat manuscripts, marking a significant step in preserving Assam’s literary heritage. In partnership with the Nanda Talukdar Foundation (NTF), these ancient texts, written in languages like Old Assamese and Sanskrit, will be made publicly accessible. This initiative aims to safeguard Assam’s diverse cultural and religious history for future generations and global scholars.
