Doctor Arrested for Fraudulent Post-Mortem Reports and Financial Irregularities

Dr. Mridupaban Nath has been arrested by the CM’s Vigilance Cell over allegations of disproportionate assets and fabricating fake post-mortem reports, including one for his brother’s insurance claim. A 2024 raid uncovered counterfeit documents and incriminating items. Three cases against him at Bhangagarh police station involve forgery, job fraud, and report manipulation. Investigators also found unexplained deposits of around ₹7 crore in his bank account from 2019.
