DoHUA Minister Reviews Urban Development and Flood Management

Jayanta Mallabaruah, the new DoHUA minister, held an introductory meeting at Janata Bhawan to review key state projects. Commissioner Kavita Padmanabhan presented an update on ongoing works.

The minister emphasized timely execution, streamlined processes, and aligning efforts with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s vision. Later, he met officials from GMC, GMDA, and Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation to address urban flooding and improve drainage systems.

He called for teamwork to ensure impactful urban development, aligning with Assam’s aspirations.
