DPR for Four-Lane Baihata Chariali–Tezpur Highway Nears Completion

The Detailed Project Report for upgrading the Baihata Chariali–Tezpur stretch of NH-15 to four lanes is at an advanced stage, according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The upgrade has been sought due to rising traffic and accident-prone spots. Meanwhile, construction of the 15-km Mangaldoi Bypass is underway with 59% progress. The Rs 535 crore project, being executed under EPC mode, is targeted for completion by March 2026, though work needs to be accelerated.
