East Guwahati Police District Rescues 24 Cattle

A group of Sonapur Police officers from the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) rescued 24 cattle on Sunday. Sources claim that while one truck was smuggling cattle from Silapathar to Meghalaya, the team stopped it close to Digaru, registering it as AS26 C 8927. In this regard, the team detained Ikramul Ali (28), of Khetri, and Karim Ali (26), of Sonapur.
