Eight Severely Ill from Wild Mushroom Poisoning in Assam’s Golaghat District
Eight individuals from two families in Uriamghat, Golaghat district, Assam, fell severely ill due to food poisoning after consuming toxic wild mushrooms, known as “kathfula,” reports indicated on Saturday. The affected individuals were admitted to Shaheed Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital, with one person in critical condition being transferred to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) for advanced treatment.
