Elevated Road Construction Begins on Silchar-Kalain Route

The Silchar-Kalain road, plagued by sinking zone issues, is set to undergo significant improvement with the construction of a 210-meter elevated road. Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty recently blessed the project and inaugurated piling works. The road will be built using 600 micro pilings of 400 mm diameter. Budgeted at ₹57 crore, the project aims for completion within a year despite geographical challenges. Chakraborty thanked state leaders for addressing the area’s infrastructure concerns.
