Ethnic art and culture map of Assam will be prepared by the state government

An ethnic art and culture map of Assam will be created by the state government. According to Cultural Minister Bimal Borah, a district-by-district cultural map will be created. The historical background, customs, and cultural legacy of every ethnic group and community will be included on the maps. These ethnic groups will provide information about their history, culture, customs, etc. in this regard. For the purpose of gathering data and mapping these ethnic groups and communities, a three-person high-level committee has already been established. On Monday, the General Advisory Committee of the Cultural Mapping of Ethnic Art and Culture in Assam held its inaugural meeting at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
