Eviction Drive Conducted on Alleged Encroached TB Hospital Land in Guwahati

The district administration on Friday carried out a major eviction drive in Guwahati’s Birubari area, clearing alleged encroachments from government land belonging to the TB Hospital in Surabala Bordoloi Nagar.

Several structures were demolished using bulldozers under heavy police security. Officials said at least 63 families had been served eviction notices earlier but many failed to vacate the land.

The administration stated that the land had been illegally occupied for years. No major law-and-order issues were reported during the operation.
