Eviction Drive Planned in Jamuna-Moudenga Reserved Forest, 1,258 Families Served Notices

The Hojai Forest Division has issued eviction notices to 1,258 families illegally residing in the Jamuna-Moudenga Reserved Forest under the Doboka range. Residents have 15 days to vacate areas like Udmari, Jamunagaon, and Nigam.

Officials said the move aims to reclaim encroached forest land, while locals have sought government rehabilitation aid. Security arrangements are being made to ensure a peaceful eviction.
