Fake Doctor Arrested for Allegedly Practising Without Valid Qualification

Jogighopa: Police have arrested Nazrul Islam for allegedly posing as a doctor and practising medicine without a recognised medical qualification or valid registration.

According to police, the accused falsely claimed to hold postgraduate medical qualifications, prescribed allopathic medicines, and allegedly used another doctor’s registration number on prescription pads. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the National Medical Commission Act, and the Assam Medical Council Act, while further investigation is underway.
