Female student of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) found death

On Monday, an unexpected fact came to light: it was reported that a female student at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) passed away following a New Year’s celebration due to an apparent alcohol overdose.

The body was sent for the appropriate post-mortem procedures, according to Amitabh Basumatary, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the Central Police District in Guwahati. All legal procedures have been followed. The student was originally from Telangana and that the family members have been notified of the development, though they have not yet filed a case.
