Ferry Services Resume Between Guwahati and North Guwahati Banks After Three-Day Halt

After a three-day hiatus, ferry services between Guwahati and North Guwahati banks of the Brahmaputra River have resumed. Operations recommenced early Thursday morning, with all three ghats – the middle section, Rajaduar ghat, and Majgaon ghat – operational. The suspension, initiated on May 6 due to rising water levels, caused chaos among daily commuters. Closure stemmed from incomplete repair work on ferry ramps, according to sources.
