FIR Filed Against MLA Mrinal Saikia for Alleged Offensive Comment

Senior members of the All Assam Koch Rajbangshi Sammilani (AAKRS) have lodged an FIR at Golakganj police station against Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia. The complaint, filed by Raghuranjan Bepari, Uttam Kumar Pradhani, and Pinaki Roy, is in response to an allegedly offensive comment made by Saikia on social media, targeting the people of Lower Assam. The comment has caused significant discontent within the community. Bepari emphasized the seriousness of the issue, calling Saikia’s remarks disrespectful and harmful to regional harmony. The AAKRS demands legal action against Saikia to uphold accountability and maintain social unity.
