FLC of EVMs, VVPATs Begins in Dima Hasao for 2026 Assam Polls

First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs and VVPATs for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections has commenced in Dima Hasao district. As per the schedule of the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam, the exercise is underway from January 2 to 8 at the EVM–VVPAT warehouse in Haflong for the 113-Haflong (ST) constituency.

The verification is being conducted in the presence of representatives from recognised political parties, with a five-member technical team from Electronics Corporation of India Limited. Officials said the process, supervised by the Additional District Commissioner, is vital to ensure machine reliability and uphold free and transparent elections.
