Former AASU Leader and Assam Movement Veteran Gajen Bora Passes Away

Former AASU leader from Darrang and prominent social worker Gajen Bora passed away on Tuesday evening at GMCH. He was 70 and had been under treatment since February 11.

A key leader of the Assam Movement in western Darrang, Bora played a frontline role during the six-year agitation and was known for his uncompromising leadership. He was also actively involved in several social, educational and cultural organisations, including Dunia Junior College and Dunia Degree College. His death has been widely mourned across the district.
