Former Education Minister Thaneswar Boro Passes Away at 85

Former Education Minister Thaneswar Boro, aged 85, passed away on Friday after battling complications related to a long-standing heart condition. Boro, who served as the Education Minister during the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) government and was the former President of the AGP, was undergoing treatment in the ICU of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). He is survived by his only daughter. The mortal remains of the esteemed minister will be transported to Rangia from Guwahati, where various parties and organizations are scheduled to pay their respects.
