Four Killed as Brick-Laden Truck Falls Into Ditch in Dhubri

Four people died on Monday night in Hatipota Moskaguri village, Dhubri, after a 14-wheeler brick-laden truck fell into a ditch. The vehicle, returning from New Saral brick kiln, collapsed around 9 PM amid rain. Despite locals’ rescue attempts, four, including the driver, were found dead Tuesday morning by SDRF. Locals blamed the brick kiln for building an unsafe road over a natural reservoir, which collapsed due to softened soil from heavy rains.
