Fresh Clashes in Bishnupur district; Indefinite Curfew Imposed

Fresh clashes between security forces and protesters in Thinungei, Bishnupur district, left at least six people injured on Tuesday. Authorities imposed an indefinite curfew under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 following the unrest.

Tensions escalated amid reports of tear gas use, firing, road blockades, and a vehicle being set ablaze. Security forces, including the Rapid Action Force, were deployed to control the situation.
