Ajanta Path in Guwahati’s Hatigaon area has turned into an open garbage dumping zone, causing foul smell, clogged drains and frequent waterlogging. Residents blame irregular waste collection, poor monitoring and lack of enforcement by civic authorities. With the monsoon approaching, locals fear worsening conditions and rising health risks. They have urged the Guwahati Municipal Corporation to ensure daily garbage clearance, impose fines and install CCTV cameras to curb illegal dumping.
