Gauhati HC Sets Deadline for Flood Control Scheme Payments

The Gauhati High Court directed the Centre and Assam government to clear dues to contractors of 11th Plan flood control schemes. The Ministry of Jal Shakti must release ₹10.84 crore within two months, while both governments must pay for works done before scheme foreclosures in 2019. Audit clearances should be completed in a month, and the entire payment process within six months.
