Gauhati High Court to Hear Bail Plea of Zubeen Garg’s Former PSO

Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court is scheduled to hear the bail application of Paresh Baishya, former personal security officer of late singer Zubeen Garg, at 2 PM today before Justice Rajesh Mazumdar. Baishya was arrested in connection with alleged criminal conspiracy and breach of trust in the singer’s death case in September 2025. Although he secured conditional bail in a separate financial irregularities case, he remains in custody in the main investigation.

The hearing comes after the High Court granted bail to co-accused Amritprava Mahanta, drawing reactions from Zubeen Garg’s family. His wife, Garima Saikia Garg, expressed concern over the investigation and the prospect of bail for the accused. The court’s decision on Baishya’s plea is awaited.
