Gauhati University Hostel Students Face Severe LPG Crisis

Students residing at Gauhati University hostels, especially RCC 4 Dr Bhubaneswar Baruah Boys’ Hostel, are facing a major LPG cylinder crisis as prices have reportedly risen to nearly Rs 1,500.
Many students said they are struggling to afford cooking expenses and are being forced to depend on outside food, costing around Rs 300 daily. Some even claimed they are searching for firewood to prepare meals.
The issue has created stress among students ahead of examinations. Hostel residents have submitted a memorandum to authorities, demanding immediate action to resolve the crisis.
