Gauhati University Launches Initiative for Competitive Exam Preparation

Gauhati University has introduced the Gauhati University Initiative for Competitive Examinations (GUICE), a one-year program to prepare students for exams like UPSC, APSC, SSC-CGL, NET, and GATE. The registration deadline is December 20, 2024.

GUICE offers 60 seats for the UPSC/APSC Professional Course (fee: ₹35,000) and 100 seats for the Foundation Course (fee: ₹20,000). Scholarships and accommodations are available for select UPSC/APSC candidates, while Foundation Course students receive preference if enrolled in GU’s regular UG, PG, or PhD programs.

The program includes expert-led training, mock tests, workshops, and career counseling, ensuring inclusivity and support for economically disadvantaged students.
