Gauhati University Youth Festival Begins With Vibrant Cultural Show

Gauhati University launched its annual youth festival with over 700 students from 60 colleges across 18 districts. The four-day event features music, dance, theatre, and literary competitions. The opening included flag hoisting, tributes to martyrs, and a colourful rally highlighting themes like Assamese culture, Ramayana, and rural life. Performances honoured cultural icons Zubeen Garg and Bhupen Hazarika. The festival aims to celebrate creativity, diversity, and student unity.
