Gaurav Gogoi Calls JJM in Assam a “Flop” in Parliament

MP Gaurav Gogoi criticised the Assam government in the Lok Sabha, alleging that the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state has failed due to unpaid bills, delays and favouritism. He claimed ₹3,500 crore remains unpaid, forcing contractors and workers into financial struggle.

Gogoi alleged only politically connected contractors received partial payments and demanded urgent intervention. The state earlier stated that over 18,000 schemes under JJM have been completed.
