Gaurav Gogoi Welcomes Public Response After Being Named Congress Candidate from Jorhat

Gaurav Gogoi, president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, said the public response to the party’s first list of candidates has been encouraging after he was announced as the Congress candidate from the Jorhat Assembly constituency.

Speaking at a press meet in Jorhat, he said the positive reaction from people shows the party has made the right choices. During the visit, Gogoi also laid foundation stones for six development projects under the MPLAD scheme and interacted with party workers.

On alliance talks, he said the Congress remains hopeful of forming a partnership with Raijor Dal, while its chief Akhil Gogoi said he would wait before making any decision.
