GMC Conducts Waste Segregation Awareness Drive

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), in collaboration with Kristi Welfare Organization, conducted an awareness drive on waste segregation and composting in Ambikagiri Nagar, Ward 37. Similar programs were held across all 12 wards of Division-3.

Officials educated residents on proper waste disposal, segregation techniques, and composting benefits. The initiative aims to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainable waste management. Residents welcomed the effort, and GMC plans to expand the campaign citywide.
